About 240 miles south of Rio de Janiero, lies Brazil's largest city, Sao Paulo. In the 1970's, Sao Paulo was considered one of the fastest growing cities in the world. With its tropical climate, the population of freestylers is also on the rise. They have about 15-20 flatlanders alone. There are 4 or 5 comps every year and about 50 flatlanders from all over Brazil enter. The riders there are dedicated to the lifestyle and ride many hours every day, pushing the limits of their riding. There are also many riders in Argentina that come across the border to ride in Brazil and vice-versa. Clailton Ferriera da Silva is the guy who sent me a handful of movies to share with you. Click on the map and you can see the mass skills that these riders have for yourself. The Duke was so stoked, he was talking about getting a plane ticket to Sao Paulo for spring break!!!
